ECN wishes to extend a huge thank-you to the Midcounties Co-operative for a £2,000 grant towards the revamp of Experience Chipping Norton’s website.
This much-loved site has served us well, seeing us through the 2015 GB High Street Awards, in which Chipping Norton was a proud Market Town finalist and received 10 out of 10 for digital innovaton.
But a range of technical challenges has made it increasingly hard to maintain and impossible to achieve the extensive new-look site we now require to showcase our true achievements in the town.
Armed with the Coop funding, granted from the Midcounties Co-operative Community Fund for worthy local ventures, ECN can forge ahead with plans for a website relaunch – with exciting new look, image and business directory.
A new ECN website will also offer plenty of scope for bold digital initiatives currently in the pipeline for Chipping Norton.
The ECN/Midcounties Partnership
We’re proud of our relationship with Chippy’s new Midcounties Co-op supermarket, whose manager Adam Quinton kindly allowed us to set up a temporary polling booth at the front of their premises during the GB High Street campaign last year.
With our new website front and centre, we’re determined to build on ECN’s 2015 #GBHighSt success and develop our relationship with local businesses both large and small.
Had we won, Chipping Norton would have received £10,000 in prize money and comprehensive Google training for key town businesses – giving ECN and our town a huge business boost and resources to fund future community projects.
We will be entering the #GBHighSt contest again this year with renewed vigour and – thanks to Midcounties – a strong, stable, business-themed website which promotes and supports trade, tourism and our enterprises in the way they deserve, along with our local charities – Dementia Friends and Rafiki Thabo Foundation.
