Hook Norton Brewery
Fancy a visit to a traditional brewery where the mill is powered by steam and shire horses deliver the local ale? An independent, family-owned business founded in 1848, Hook Norton is a traditional Victorian Tower brewery, using a Buxton & Thornley steam engine to power its plant.
While the original engine now only drives the mashing equipment and mill, tours of the brewery and museum reveal many historic artifacts. Visit the shire horses’ stables and watch these majestic animals at work. And, of course, don’t forget to sample Hook Norton’s handcrafted, award-winning beers and ales.
