Vote now for our Chipping Norton High St Heroes
Not content with one high street hero, we have two contenders in the finals of the Great British High Street of the Year Awards 2016.
Imogen Haverty is shortlisted in the High Street Hero Under 25s, while Chipping Norton – represented here by ECN mascot, Osca – has reached the final three in the Small Market Town category.
In order to help us win the double, we need everyone in Chippy voting every day from every email address until the polls close on 18 November.
We think you’ll agree, Imogen and Osca are a striking double act.
Imogen adds the delicate touch
Imogen, 16, lights up The Tea Set on Chippy High Street with her warmth, sensitivity and attention to detail.
She has helped owner Vicky Wills turn the new venture into a thriving, popular and award-winning eatery bringing delicious Cotswold class – not to mention some awesome cupcakes – to the town centre.
The Tea Set has already won the title of Best Café in Bucks and Oxon in the 2016 Muddy Stilettos Awards – despite only opening in March this year!
Osca adds his own brand of magic
As for Osca, he truly is a reformed character.
During the 2015 #GBHighSt campaign, we could hardly prise Osca out of the pub. This pickled pointer, far from helping us pick up votes, was more interested in beer, champers and poker nights.
Now, it’s tea, cakes and the finest china for our former Best of Breed mascot, having sworn off the sauce for good.
A big thankyou to Osca’s owners Judith and Mark for their joint contribution to the #Chippy2Win campaign!
