With January the month of ‘New Years Resolutions’, we decided to have a look at the most popular one around – getting fit and exercising. Our first port of call was local fitness instructor and personal trainer, Karen Biles. Karen runs many classes in the town and is a advocate for a healthy lifestyle locally. With the guilt of over indulgence throughout the Christmas period looming over us, Karen explained what she does, where and how she does it. Here is what she had to say.
‘I have lived in Chipping Norton for over 40 years. I went to the local school and had my children in Chipping Norton Hospital.
My first job was working for British Airways as a stewardess, it was here where my passion for fitness grew. I attended gyms and classes all over the world, experiencing different teaching styles and techniques. I was keen to bring fitness, and yoga classes back to Chipping Norton, making fitness fun and accessible to all. By focusing on lifestyle, exercise and nutrition I help people to fine-tune themselves mentally, emotionally and physically.
I have a studio in Over Norton where clients can book sessions with me for personal training, NLP life coaching, and OPI manicures and pedicures.
I also teach body conditioning, yoga, fitness pilates and circuit classes in and around Chipping Norton.
