Chippy’s annual Christmas tree festival is a great way for businesses, charities and schools to get involved in the town’s seasonal activities.
Book your spot this year between 1 and 4 December, when the festival will take pride of place at Chippy’s Methodist Church in West Street.
Contact Elaine Parsons if you would like to take part in this year’s festival. She’ll be delighted to hear from you.
How does it work?
Businesses, charities or schools can buy a small-rooted Christmas tree from church organisers and decorate it as they please. The tree will stay on display for the duration of the festival.
The Methodist church charges a small entry fee for people to view the trees collectively, with proceeds going to the church fund and visitors choosing their favourite each day!
At the end of the festival the tree then belongs to the participant, so it’s a win-win situation for all.
The church receives much-needed funds, the contributing group receive great exposure, the community comes together and church visitors get to enjoy a fabulous festive experience!
The festival has become an entrenched part of the Chippy Christmas experience, and organisers hope this year’s event will be as popular as ever.
