A Big Thank You to all our Helpers!
Chipping Norton’s shortlisting in the 2015 Great British High Street competition is the culmination of more than two years work by volunteers on both sides of the globe.
From humble beginnings in early 2013, Experience Chipping Norton (ECN) was established to give businesses a platform to engage with residents, charities and tourists, increase Chippy’s profile and to showcase the advantages of living and working in, as well as visiting our town.
Our brief has expanded into something much broader than we initially imagined to include a content rich website, a sophisticated and engaging social media presence, regular business meetings, co-ordinating town cleanups, public events, public meetings and much more.
The evolution of our “town project” led to ECN’s shortlisted entry in the GB High Street contest in September, for which we defined clear goals to build on the framework we have developed to benefit everyone who calls Chipping Norton home.
